Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to accept these terms and use Sign in with Apple. Keep access to your Apple account secure and provide a respectful display name. Mosaic is not directed to children under 13; organizations using it with young people are responsible for consent and safeguarding.
The service
Mosaic provides invitation-only kindness events, self-attested activity contributions, collaborative artwork, an event camera, member galleries, and local photo recap exports. Kindness activity is not independently verified. Mosaic is not an emergency, medical, legal, employment, fundraising, or impact-certification service. Participants use every joined Mosaic for free. Organizers may use the free creation tier or purchase premium organizer options.
Purchases and subscriptions
Mosaic Plus is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple may charge the account for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel from the app's Mosaic Plus screen or your App Store account settings. A one-time Event Pass is used when you create one premium Mosaic without Plus. Prices, periods, and any introductory offer shown before purchase come from your App Store storefront. Deleting your Mosaic account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Mosaic a limited license to host, process, display, and transmit it only as needed to operate the event and safety features. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for every photo and piece of text you submit. Do not submit unlawful, dangerous, infringing, deceptive, or privacy-invasive content.
Event timing and visibility
Joining, contributions, and photography close at the fixed reveal time. Members who joined in time retain post-reveal access. Before reveal, other members' notes and photos are sealed; after reveal, eligible contributions and photos become visible to joined members. Reports may quarantine photos and blocks alter an individual member's gallery.
Organizers
Organizers are responsible for lawful, safe, accessible, age-appropriate activities and intended invitations. Organizers do not receive pre-reveal access to member photos and cannot override the fixed reveal or approve contributions. Creator deletion removes the Mosaic and its content.
Availability and enforcement
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service and may restrict accounts or remove content to address safety, abuse, legal obligations, or technical risk. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, successful delivery of every upload, or recovery of a local recap file.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mosaic is provided “as is” without warranties. You are responsible for real-world activities you choose to perform. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so local law may provide additional rights.
Termination and contact
You may stop using Mosaic or delete your account at any time. Sections concerning content rights, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive where legally appropriate. Questions may be sent to biswas06@iastate.edu.
